Qualified Outreach Tutor needed in Buckinghamshire
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a Qualified Core Subject Outreach Tutor based in Buckinghamshire to deliver bespoke, one-to-one education packages to young people who are currently not attending school.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons in Science, English, and Maths up to GCSE level, aimed at closing educational gaps and improving engagement and attainment. This role is ideal for an experienced, qualified educator looking to step away from the traditional classroom environment to provide more personalized and enjoyable learning experiences.
Many of the pupils you will work with may have been out of formal education for some time and may have low confidence levels. Your role will be crucial in re-engaging these students in their learning and providing structure to their daily routine.
Prospero Teaching will support you closely in monitoring pupil progress and ensuring effective, impactful learning.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location - Various locations across Buckinghamshire
Position - Outreach Tutor
Type of work - Contract
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Dependent on each student's needs
Contract type - Temporary
Full time/part time - Both part time and full time considered based on availability
Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour (minimum)
Hours - Flexible, with sessions ranging from 1 to 3 hours
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Science, English, and Maths up to GCSE level
Minimum 6 months' experience working within UK schools or educational settings
Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
