Patching Lodge Extra Care – Brighton
Patching Lodge is a large extra care community with76 one‑ and two‑bedroom apartments, fully wheelchair accessible withlift access throughout. Facilities include arestaurant, rooftop garden with sea views, lounge, hair salon, cinema, guest rooms and a 24‑hour alarm call system. Both sites are located in theBrighton / Kemptown area, close to public transport links, shops and seafront amenities.
The Role
As a Care Assistant working in Extra Care, you will support residents living independently in their own self‑contained apartments within the building. Your responsibilities may include:
* Providing personal care for female residents
* Supporting with medication
* Assisting with meals and hydration
* Encouraging independence, wellbeing and dignity
* Supporting residents with daily routines in a calm, structured environment
* Working as part of a supportive on‑site team
These roles provide stability, consistency and the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with residents—without the rushed travel associated with domiciliary care.
