Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure
Location – Aylesbury
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Galliford Try.
You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks. Ideally, you will be based locally, although relocation support may be available.
* Participate in creating a safe working environment.
* Produce subcontract documentation including negotiation of terms, prices, and programme.
* Manage subcontract work packages, including interim assessments and change management.
* Produce and issue all commercial notices as required by the contract.
* Manage changes promptly, including producing and submitting Compensation Event Quotations.
* Produce, submit, and agree on monthly applications to the Client.
* Liaise with operational and engineering staff to ensure proper site records.
* Produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR).
* Maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan’ tracking expenditure, liabilities, and using Oracle-based analyses.
* Interpret expenditure reports from internal cost systems.
About You:
* Good understanding of standard forms of contract.
* Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of construction processes.
* Experience with NEC/Option C contracts.
* Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, preferably incorporated or working towards full membership (Desirable).
* Experience in Civil Engineering environments (Highways/Rail/Water/Aviation), working with clients like Highways England or Local Authorities.
