The role
At Northumbria Police we bring together people from diverse backgrounds to serve our force area effectively. As a Campaigns and Digital Marketing Adviser in our Communications and Engagement Department, you will develop recruitment marketing for officers, staff and volunteers. Your work will build a talent pipeline, attract high‑quality applicants and increase diversity and representation in our force. You will support our employer brand and showcase our value proposition using paid, owned and earned channels.
What you’ll do
* Work alongside colleagues across the organisation to design and implement our recruitment campaign calendar in line with our workforce plan.
* Collaborate with a range of external agencies, including paid media partners, to deliver an effective, cost‑efficient paid plan.
* Provide hands‑on management of our careers website, optimising for reach, user experience and achievement of our strategic goals.
* Plan and deliver engaging, social‑first content, choosing the best channels in our social mix to achieve your goal, and lead the management of our fast‑growing LinkedIn presence.
What you’ll bring
* Experience of delivering digital marketing and campaigns in a similar role.
* Experience of influencing people of all levels of seniority within a large and complex organisation.
* Experience of producing insightful, creative and effective campaign work.
* Demonstrable skills/knowledge of planning, coordinating and prioritising.
* Experience of working on your own initiative.
* Excellent writing skills, with an authoritative understanding of what makes engaging and interesting communications.
* Content creation skills, including filming and editing.
* Understanding of campaign analysis and use of Google Analytics.
* Full UK driving licence is considered essential.
* Experience and understanding of marketing in relation to recruitment activity.

Terms of appointment
This is a permanent role subject to a six‑month probationary period. If you are successful in your application, you will have a six‑month probation period with us during which you will be unable to apply for any other post advertised internally or externally.
