As a Head Chef at HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything you do. You’ll inspire your kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that Residents will genuinely enjoy, while supporting their health and wellbeing through dietary needs and cultural preferences. You’ll ensure hygiene and safety, manage stock and budgets, and work with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence in a well-organised kitchen operation.
You’ll also help shape mealtimes into enjoyable, ambient dining experiences and contribute to a welcoming environment for Residents.
Responsibilities
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals
* Ensure all dishes support Residents’ health and wellbeing, considering individual dietary needs and nutritional requirements
* Oversee kitchen operations, including stock management, budgets, orders, and compliance with food safety standards (HACCP)
* Collaborate with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence and smooth operation
* Create an engaging, ambient dining experience during mealtimes
Qualifications
* An S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
* A minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
* A good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
