KS1 / EYFS SEN Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 / EYFS SEN Teacher to join our team and support children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver high-quality, creative, and differentiated lessons across the EYFS and KS1 curriculum, tailored to meet individual EHCP targets.
* Create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where all pupils feel supported and able to thrive.
* Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to implement individualised education and behaviour support plans.
* Use multi-sensory and play-based approaches to foster early learning, communication, and independence.
* Monitor progress, track attainment, and provide regular updates to parents and carers.
* Promote social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic achievement.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Level 5+ equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching in EYFS or KS1, ideally within a SEN setting.
* Knowledge of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH.
* Strong behaviour management and positive reinforcement skills.
* A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with young learners.
