Role
As a Graduate Radioactive Waste Management Consultant you will support a wide range of clients across the nuclear lifecycle—from new build and operations to decommissioning. Your key responsibilities include:
* Providing timely and robust technical expertise in radioactive waste management.
* Advising on waste characterisation, treatment, storage, packaging, and consignment.
* Producing high‑quality technical reports such as Waste Strategies, BAT studies, Sampling Plans, and Packaging Proposals.
* Supporting radiation protection activities, including drafting local rules and ionising radiation risk assessments.
* Assisting with project controls and bid preparation.
* Collaborating with other departments—such as safety case, contaminated land, technical advisory, and engineering—to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Locations: Altrincham, Bristol, and Glasgow.
Security clearance may be required; usually a UK British national or a UK resident of five years or more.
Candidate Specification
We welcome curious and motivated graduates with a genuine interest in making a real difference. To be eligible, you must have less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements) and a degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or be expected to achieve one of the following disciplines:
* Environmental Management
* Radioactive Waste Protection
* Physics
* Any Engineering discipline
