Working Pattern: Part time

Working Arrangement: 29 hours which can be worked over 4 or 5 days per week.

About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Early Years Service to ensure that families have access to high quality early education and childcare provision, as part of the Best Start in Life Programme.

The role is to support the delivery of early years and childcare entitlements which have recently been extended to include working parents of 2 year olds and under. Ensuring compliance with Statutory Guidance, sufficiency of provision across Trafford and the distribution of early years funding to our childcare providers. You will work as part of a team to support the providers, enabling us to continue to build on our success, bringing new experience and ideas to the service.


About You

You will need good communication skills to be able to provide information/advice to childcare providers and families. You must be able to work to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail. You will also need excellent IT skills to use our online systems, as well as experience of using spreadsheets, analysing data, creating/updating presentations, writing reports and administering social media. As you will be working as part of a team, you will also need to be a good team player.

You will need to be committed to continually learn and improve the way we do things to ensure effective outcomes. You will work as a part of a term to deliver a service, whilst valuing and respecting others’ contributions. You will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues, learn from when things should go wrong and change what we do to make a difference. A basic DBS check will be required.
