Role Overview
This position is based in London and surrounding areas. The ability to drive is advantageous due to meeting site supervisors. We are seeking an Installers Assistant of structural and architectural metalwork, glazed balustrades, and balconies. This is a permanent, full-time position offering good rates of pay working with a market leader.
You will help with the handling, assembly, and installation of steel structures under the guidance of the Installer Team Leader, ensuring safety and quality at every step.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with safe and accurate installation of steelwork and components.
* Follow instructions carefully and understand assigned tasks.
* Handle, move, and store materials and equipment safely.
* Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, wearing PPE at all times.
* Use basic hand tools and equipment correctly under supervision.
* Keep the work area tidy, organised, and hazard-free.
* Participate in daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
* Report any issues or unsafe conditions immediately.
* Show eagerness to learn installation skills and product knowledge.
* Uphold Steel Build's values, safety standards, and professionalism.
