As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support reading, writing, and literacy development within lessons and intervention settings, working closely with primary teachers to support pupil progress. Primary schools throughout the North East are seeking an English Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 English. This English Graduate Teaching Assistant role is suitable for graduates with a degree in English, literature, or a related subject. Key responsibilities: Supporting English lessons and literacy-focused activities Working with pupils on reading comprehension and written work Delivering small-group or one-to-one literacy interventions Supporting exam preparation and coursework tasks Assisting English department staff as required Requirements: A degree related to English, literature, or humanities Experience supporting young people is preferred but not essential An interest in English education or future teacher training This English Graduate Teaching Assistant role provides practical experience within a primarr school.
