Your New JobAre you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist all-through school in the High Peak area, catering to pupils aged 5–18 with autism, social-emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), andplexmunication challenges. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced SENCOs, teachers, and therapists to deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support. You’ll help pupils meet their EHCP targets, develop independence, and thrive in a nurturing, structured environment. This full-time role is term-time only and offers excellent prospects for long-term career development. Key Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils with autism, SEMH, and sensory processing needs.
2. Deliver personalised interventions and adapt learning resources.
3. Promote emotional regulation, social skills, and academic progress.
4. Assist with personal care and life skills development (training provided).
5. Collaborate with staff and families to ensure holistic support.

What You'll Need to Succeed
6. A Level 3 qualification in education, childcare, or health and social care.
7. Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision.
8. Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional needs.
9. A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
10. A full UK driving licence (essential due to location).
11. Amitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
