Bathgate Academy is a comprehensive non-denominational school serving a cluster of five primary schools. The school roll is currently 1180 and rising. The post is aligned with the school’s vision and Curriculum for Excellence to support young people’s learning and achievement. The post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment; the cost is met by the candidate. The full PVG Scheme Membership fee is £59 or £18 for existing members.

* Support the vision of the school and implement strategies to achieve this vision.
* Assist in taking forward the principles of Curriculum for Excellence to support learners and the improvement agenda of the faculty, school and authority.
Qualifications
* Relevant teaching qualification.
* Registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) is essential.
