Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Product Engineer to join our team in Kelso. In this role you will bridge the gap between customer, design and production, implementing lean manufacturing solutions across Printed Circuit Board and Mechanical Assemblies, managing Engineering Change Orders and validating processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, analyze, and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to meet strict quality, delivery and cost targets.
* Develop high‑quality, cost‑effective manufacturing solutions that precisely align with customer requirements.
* Act as an independent subject‑matter expert for core manufacturing phases, managing technical communication for assigned products.
* Produce comprehensive project and change‑management documentation in strict accordance with customer and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a HNC or Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
* At least 3 years of hands‑on engineering experience in manufacturing (alternative: equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
* Strong analytical mindset and experience with statistical analysis and problem‑solving (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Continuous Improvement).
* Hands‑on experience in PCBA manufacturing, electro‑mechanical assembly, FMEA and automation preferred.
* Solid understanding of product structure, Bill of Material and assembly drawing analysis, change management and cross‑discipline engineering knowledge.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and intermediate computer literacy.
* Proactive team player with proven ability to build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
