As a Senior Care Assistant, you play a crucial role in our home. You will lead Care Assistants who deliver high-quality, personal care to our residents, while also inspiring, developing, and nurturing them to be their best every day.
We will train you on all aspects of our new digital care system, which is transforming our work, making tasks easier, and allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and resident care. With over 75 years of healthcare expertise, we are committed to ongoing training in clinical and social care developments, learning from industry leaders. It's an exciting time to join us.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Day-to-day management of a care unit
2. Supporting clinical duties such as observing, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and accurate record keeping
3. Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including shift handovers
4. Training and supervising new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
5. Building relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare teams such as GPs and District Nurses
6. Assisting residents with personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications:
* Completed or working towards NVQ3 in care. We support you in completing this qualification if needed.
* Motivated, positive, with excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy working in a close-knit team.
* Previous experience in a similar role, with a passion for making a difference by providing kindness, personalized support, and dignity.
