We are looking for a recent graduate to join our Sustainable Waste Management team. Our team is a leading global provider of consultancy services to the waste and resource management sector, providing advice to a range of clients including local authorities, waste producers, and the waste management industry. We provide practical advice on all waste and resource types, including municipal, household, commercial, industrial and hazardous, and the infrastructure required to deliver effective services. Our specialisms are expanding to meet the challenges associated with sustainability, circular economy and climate impacts.
Client & Technical Service Offerings
* Waste strategy, options appraisal and plan development
* Service reviews and infrastructure assessments
* Circularity and sustainability studies
* Waste logistics assessments
* Public sector waste support (e.g. procurement)
* Private sector waste company support (e.g. bid development)
* Advice to the financial sector (e.g. investment due diligence)
* Supporting construction companies and waste technology providers
About You
You will have recently graduated with a relevant first degree (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Environmental Science or similar). Due to the nature of the role you will require a full UK driving licence before joining. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
We Are Looking For Someone With
* An excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of mainstream software packages (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including the use and understanding of Excel functions beyond basic functionality
* A sound knowledge of and interest in sustainable waste and resource management practices
* Strong analytical skills
* The ability to work with minimum supervision and within a group
* Good communication and research skills
Responsibilities
* Work under the guidance of experienced team members to undertake research and data collation for a wide range of projects
* Process and model large datasets, developing clear, logical and accurate outputs
* Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
* Support the ongoing growth of the Sustainable Waste Management team, contributing to proposals for a wide range of clients
* Develop a broader understanding of the waste and resource management sector through researching best practice and innovation
