HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – TRAMPING

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider (part of Culina group), offering secure, ongoing work with real career progression opportunities.
THE ROLE – WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As an HGV Class 1 Tramper, you’ll be responsible for nationwide deliveries to major supermarkets and regional distribution centres (RDCs). This is clean, structured work with well-planned routes and minimal delays.
Your day-to-day will include:
1. Driving modern, well-maintained Class 1 vehicles across the UK
2. Delivering palletised goods to supermarkets and RDCs
3. Working with organised RDC booking systems to reduce waiting times
4. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
5. Managing fuel, cleanliness, and general vehicle care
6. Ensuring full compliance with WTD and EU driver regulations
7. Representing the client professionally at all delivery points

CAREER PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITY

After a few weeks of general haulage, drivers move into specialist European event logistics, including driving for prestigious events such as Formula 1.

PAY & BENEFITS
15. Monday – Friday AM: £18.00/hr (including holiday pay)
16. Monday – Friday PM: £19.00/hr (including holiday pay)
17. Saturday: £22.00/hr (including holiday pay)
18. Sunday: £24.00/hr (including holiday pay)
19. £25 night out allowance per shift

20. Wednesday to Sunday
21. Friday to Monday
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
22. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
23. In-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
24. Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
25. Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
26. Reliable, organised, and safety-focused
27. Willingness to work weekends and tramp
28. Professional attitude and strong work ethic
