Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for highly regulated industries including Marine, Medical, and more, is looking for an Electronic Engineer based in Newark to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an office‑based role supporting the development of innovative control panel and interface technologies for blue‑chip customers across a range of industries.
Key responsibilities
* Support the design, development and testing of electronic hardware products.
* Manage and implement hardware design changes driven by cost, obsolescence, or performance improvements.
* Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.
* Perform fault finding and debugging of electronic devices.
* Conduct quality and reliability analysis (e.G. MTBF).
* Support EMC testing and wider electrical validation activities.
* Work closely with production and production engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
* Provide guidance and support to technicians and junior team members.
* Identify and manage technical risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience required
* Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
* Experience in an electronics design or manufacturing environment.
* Experience designing analogue and digital circuits using tools such as Altium Designer.
* Strong understanding of EMC design and compliance testing.
* Experience with digital communication protocols (e.G. SPI, I2C, USB).
* Strong documentation and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of programming languages (e.G. C/C#) and simulation tools (e.G. SPICE) would be advantageous.
