Company Description
Child Matters is a flourishing company that delivers educational training courses for parents, carers, child care providers, schools, and pupils. Classes are taught exclusively by children's nurses, paramedics, first responders, and staff with frontline experience in safeguarding and children's health. Our aim is to ensure participants complete our courses feeling more knowledgeable and confident, understanding why situations happen and how to manage them effectively. Founded by Claire Street, a specialist paediatric nurse with extensive experience, Child Matters is dedicated to providing top-quality training and support.
Role Description
Child Matters is searching for the right person to join our small team of trainers. Suitable to supplement your job. First Aid and clinical skills training is particularly rewarding as you have the opportunity to teach the skills that are used to using in your day to day role.
Teaching Qualification
To be a trainer you will need to have a clinical course similar to ENB 998, SLICE or mentorship qualification. If you are not currently registered with a professional body you will need to complete or have an entry level teaching qualification. The Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification is a 3 day classroom course which will explain the roles and responsibilities of teaching, how to create effective lessons and the different ways to assess learners. This will be at own cost.
The course is nationally accredited and by its conclusion will allow the successful candidate to teach any subject they have experience in.
Equipment. If you don't already have your own equipment we can provide everything you need to go out and teach courses for Child Matters.
Your own transport is essential as courses can be in various locations and carrying kit will not be possible on public transport.
