We are seeking talented and caring individuals looking to begin or continue their career in Social Care with us, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Renaissance Care. We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Meadowlark Care Home for 38.5 hours. Our Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement, supporting and encouraging meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. They will participate in person-centred activities, outings and events and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents. The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person-centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, ensuring their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. The role offers variety and versatility as no two days are the same. A key element of care includes assisting with personal care, promoting a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration, supporting meaningful activities and creating 1:1 meaningful moments.
Responsibilities
* Support and encourage meaningful interactions with residents to promote purpose and connection.
* Participate in person-centred activities, outings, and events.
* Promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with each resident’s care plan.
* Support independence and choice, ensuring residents’ voices are heard in all aspects of care and support.
* Assist with personal care, support mealtime experiences, and facilitate 1:1 meaningful moments.
Qualifications
* Uphold the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion.
* Effective communicator and a team player within a multi‑disciplinary team.
* SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector are beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided.
