Nights Care Assistant - Floating across Leamington, Stratford, Wellesbourne & Southam (9:00pm to 7:00am)

As a Caregiver with Unique Senior Care, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional, person‑centred care that meets and exceeds both regulatory and contractual standards. You will support clients in line with their agreed care plans, always ensuring dignity, respect, and compassion in every interaction. You will provide person‑centred care, tailoring support to meet each client’s individual needs and promote independence, encouraging clients to do as much as they can for themselves while offering support where required.
You are responsible for upholding safeguarding responsibilities, protecting clients from harm, abuse, or neglect, and following the company’s whistleblowing policy to raise any concerns. You will demonstrate professional behaviour, represent Unique Senior Care positively, and work in partnership with NHS teams, Social Work departments, and community organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care & Wellbeing
* Assisting with bathing, washing, oral care, shaving, dressing and grooming.
* Assistance with continence care, including toilet, catheter care, pads, etc.
* Support with nutrition and hydration, encouraging a healthy, balanced diet and ensuring meals are appropriate.
* Assist with medication, supporting administration or prompting, and completing medication records.
* Assist with mobility, offering guidance and encouragement, using mobility aids, hoists, and assisting transfers.
* Promote health: infection control, skin integrity, understanding age‑related illnesses such as dementia, and providing emergency first aid where necessary.
Companionship & Social Support
* Listening and talking with clients to prevent loneliness and isolation.
* Building positive relationships.
* Arranging stimulating activities and outings such as music, arts and crafts, parks, cafés, pubs, and local groups.
* Accompanying to medical appointments and liaising with health professionals.
* Supporting reading, mail, and email communication.
* Encouraging reminiscence activities for those living with dementia.
Home Help & Domestic Support
* Washing and drying dishes; keeping the kitchen safe and hygienic.
* Cleaning kitchen and bathroom surfaces to prevent infection.
* Dusting and vacuuming regularly.
* Making and changing beds with fresh, clean linen.
* Laundry duties, ensuring clothing is presented neatly.
* Organising and tidying cupboards; maintaining a safe and accessible living space.
* Running errands and collecting prescriptions.
* Removing refuse and recycling following local guidelines.
* Assisting with pet care: feeding, walking, cleaning.
* Supporting shopping and managing finances; budgeting where required.
* Monitoring food freshness and storage; ensuring safe food handling.
Record Keeping & Reporting
* Maintain accurate daily client logs.
* Complete medication administration records in line with policies.
* Record and report all accidents and incidents promptly.
* Keep clear records of client‑related expenditure.

Requirements of a Care Assistant
* Full UK Driving Licence, car, and business insurance.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Experience preferred but not essential—comprehensive training provided.
