We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves rotating between sites to provide cardiac diagnostic services in a large tertiary centre, district general, and community settings.
Main duties of the job
* Independently practice echocardiography with a high level of skill and autonomy at advanced specialist level.
* Perform a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures.
* Provide effective day‑to‑day leadership of the cardiac physiology team and other areas when required.
* Actively participate in practical and theoretical training and development of multidisciplinary health professionals.
* Participate in cardiac and associated medical research as integral to the role.
* Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate to the band when requested by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
Qualifications
* BSc in Cardiac Clinical Physiology or Healthcare Science or MSc in Healthcare Science.
* Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science or equivalent experience.
* BSE Accreditation in TTE.
* Teaching qualification.
* AHCS or HCPC Registered.
Experience
* Practical and formal teaching.
* Multi‑disciplinary team work.
* Tertiary cardiac physiology practice.
* Participation in cardiac research.
Skills
* Competent to practice a wide range of cardiac diagnostic procedures.
