We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Walsall that’s open to an unqualified Religious Education Teacher who’s ready to inspire students five days a week. You don’t need to have QTS—just confidence, strong communication, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
What’s involved:
* Delivering pre-prepared RE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
* Encouraging debate, reflection, and respectful discussion
* Managing the classroom and creating a safe, calm environment
* Working closely with the RE department and school mentors
Who this is ideal for:
* Graduates or professionals with a strong academic background in Humanities, Theology, Philosophy, or Education
* Youth leaders, mentors, or pastoral staff with classroom experience
* Anyone passionate about teaching but not yet qualified
You’ll need to:
* Be available full-time (Monday–Friday) from September
* Be confident leading a class and managing behaviour
* Have a calm, reflective approach with a love for guiding young minds
* Be open to training and feedback—there’s plenty of support on hand!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
