What's involved with this role: Temporary Housing Registration Assessment Officer/Admin – Social Housing Job Ref: NW Leicestershire TCL 5247874 Pay Rate: Up to £13.74 per hour PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 36.25 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 1-2 months City: Coalville, Leicestershire The purpose of the role is to administer the council’s housing register, providing support to customers requesting rehousing, processing housing applications in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring that the council’s allocations policy is applied consistently and fairly. Key Responsibilities: Assist potential and newly registered home seekers as required in understanding and accessing Council’s choice-based lettings scheme. Assist vulnerable home seekers as required with the bidding process to ensure the scheme is fully accessible. Administer applications for the housing register in line with policy and within agreed timescales, ensuring that necessary proofs are sourced and complete, inputting data onto the system and ensuring assessments of housing need are accurate. Activate completed and fully validated housing register applications and notify the priority need Band to home seekers within agreed timescales so that they can begin to bid for homes. Deal with enquiries, complaints and other correspondence relating to the housing register, within agreed timescales.
