The Role...
We are looking for a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our passionate kitchen brigade at Rothay Garden.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will:
1. Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high standards across all dining experiences, from our award-winning restaurant to afternoon teas and private events.
2. Take ownership of specific kitchen sections, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
3. Assist with menu development, bringing creative ideas that reflect local, seasonal ingredients.
4. Help lead, train, and motivate the team, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
5. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality in line with current legislation.
6. Deputise for the Sous Chef when required, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and strong communication between teams.
This role would suit an experienced Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking company.
