Connecting you with your role:
This role would be a great step for an individual who has an interest and passion in working within the Hospitality Industry, and wants to gain further knowledge and awareness of the Front Desk specifically during night operations. The ideal candidate would be proactive, extroverted and have a proven track record in working in a guest focused environment.
• Be fully conversant with all front office departmental procedures and systems used for daily operations (Opera PMS, Marsha, GXP if required training to be provided
• Be the first point of contact for the guests from arrival until departure.
• Follow through guest experience by exceeding expectations enlivening the Great to Grand service value.
• Report any faults or issues guests have risen to the Night Manager and relevant departments.
• Perform night audit duties as required by the policy and procedures and follow through the task list of procedures accordingly.
Key Responsibilities as a Team Player:
• Being familiar with all the applications, which contribute to a good execution of the shift such as GXP, Opera, Marsha, Mobile panel etc.
• Work closely with Finance team to manage guest bill, ledger accounts, invoices
• Being able to execute daily operations such as check in, check out and billing in order to support the colleagues at the desk and successfully conduct tasks according to checklists.
• Record and hand over to Housekeeping or Security any lost or found items.
• Be familiar with hotels guest key systems and procedures.
• Respond to all emails in a timely manner.
• Proactively contribute to all Front Office goals.
Be Knowledgeable:
• Knowledge of front office operations is essential for this role.
• Knowledge of the property, its configuration, its history is important to understand room allocations.
• Knowledge of room types and room rates (training will be provided).
• Be familiar with Fire, Emergency and Bomb threat evacuation procedures and proactively assist the Night Manager when needed.
• Be informed of all relevant matters at all times enabling them to take correct action where necessary.
• Ensure new SOPs, standards and processes are understood and followed through on a daily basis.
Customer Contact:
• Be familiar with all in-house VIP’s, regular and long stay guests.
• Handle promptly and courteously all guest comments, complaints, requests or inquiries, by assuring appropriate action is taken or delegate until guest satisfaction has been met and exceeded.
• Create and maintain a personal and respectful rapport with regular guests.
• Ensure guest privacy and security, respecting confidential information.
• Enliven Great to Grand service value and exceed guest experiences.
