Overview
We\'re searching for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Repair Gas Engineer to join a respected company in the Macclesfield area.
Role
Repair Gas Engineer – Macclesfield, Cheshire – Field-based role. Full time, permanent. Up to £45,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct repairs, maintenance, and servicing of gas appliances and systems in residential settings
* Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
* Carry out safety checks, inspections, and compliance testing in line with industry standards
* Provide excellent customer service and clear explanations of repair procedures and safety advice
* Maintain detailed service records, including materials used and time spent on each job
* Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
* Adhere to all health and safety requirements and company procedures
* Keep up-to-date with the latest regulations, products, and best practices in gas engineering
The Ideal Candidate
* Gas Safe registered with relevant qualifications (ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
* Proven experience in repairing and maintaining gas appliances (boilers, heating systems, cookers)
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
* Sound understanding of gas safety regulations and compliance requirements
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently under pressure
* GCSE or equivalent education (preferred)
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in gas engineering (required)
