Band 4 Civilian Dental Nurse – Defence Primary Healthcare

Role: Part‑time (21 hours per week) dental nurse at the Aldershot Dental Centre, working within Defence Primary Healthcare. The position falls under the Ministry of Defence Defence Medical Services.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare the surgery appropriately for daily patient care in line with current regulations.
* Maintain the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation, reporting deficiencies through local protocols.
* Provide chairside support to the operator for all operative procedures.
* Offer pre‑ and post‑operative advice to patients as required.
* Perform additional duties as outlined in the full Job Description and Person Specification.
Qualifications & Memberships
* National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) qualified.
* Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) before commencement of duties; registration number must be provided with application.
* Applicants must supply a valid membership registration number of a relevant professional body.
Person Specification
* Must be record free of disciplinary actions; no history of gross misconduct relating to bullying, harassment, discrimination or victimisation in the last five years.
* Successfully complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check and a security check (security level required: Security Check). No prior convictions that would disqualify the candidate.
* Must provide evidence of serology for Hepatitis‑B (vaccination evidence alone is insufficient).
Salary and Working Conditions
£27,485 to £30,162 per annum – pro‑rate for part‑time hours.
