Are you a forward thinking Staff Nurse looking to move into the exciting area of specialist amputee rehabilitation? If so, an opportunity has arisen within the Amputee Specialist Rehabilitation Team based at the Colman Centre for Specialist Rehabilitation in Norwich.
Our team provides specialist amputee rehabilitation for patients who are referred to us from across Norfolk and areas of Suffolk. We are looking to appoint one enthusiastic, well motivated staff nurse into a part-time post. You will cover a combination of earlies, lates and nights. Long days are also available. You will work as an integral part of the ward team and be responsible for providing high standards of rehabilitation care to a group of patients with specialist needs.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence based care to a high standard.
* Excellent communication skills and a supportive approach to team working within a rehabilitation setting.
* An ability to structure your own learning supported by the team gaining new knowledge and skills to benefit yourself and the service.
* Work with families and colleagues in complex discharge planning.
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential as is the need to be cheerful and courteous.
* Good computer skills or the ability to learn; this role uses SystmOne to record patient interventions.

Qualifications

* 1st level nurse qualification in adult nursing
* Evidence of recent update.
* Registered General Nurse with UK Nursing and Midwifery Council
* Mentorship/supervisor trained or willingness to complete this
* Willingness to take on link nurse role for the service

* Evidence of recent learning and development which could be relevant to tissue viability, continence, diabetes, care management for example.
