The service is highly visible to residents and is regularly cited as the main service delivered for council tax paid. The collection of waste and recycling from households is one of the highest profile public services provided by the council and a key challenge will be to ensure high levels of public satisfaction and service continuity whilst the service itself is transformed to meet new legislative requirements.
