Recra are working in partnership with a fantastic recycling company based in Leicester, who are looking for a motivated Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their amazing team.
In this role your responsibilities would be:
* Oversee all aspects of a building maintenance activities - including Office spaces, structures and infrastructure in proper operating condition in a routine, scheduled, or anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation
* Assisting in ensuring MRF equipment is maintained, repaired and replaced to the highest standard and the plant up time meets the required KPI and all other Company KPIs
* Complete weekly plant shut down inspections of all production machinery
* Working with site service sub-contractors
* Completion of permits and isolations to ensure that maintenance health and safety is of the highest standard
* Control of sites maintenance stock. Planning and issuing parts and to monitor, review and report on stock levels completing monthly stock takes
* Housekeeping and general tidiness of stores
* Completing weekly sprinkler set and fire alarm testing in line with Insurance standards and recommendations
* Completing weekly roof inspections
* undertaking of facility related PPMs
* Assisting the Operations Manager to ensure compliance is met for all relevant company policies and procedures including, Health and safety and other management systems
* Assisting the Maintenance department when required
* Attend daily team briefings
* Undertaking any other duties to meet on-going needs of the organisation
* Ensure effective communication is maintained at all levels
* Ensuring aspects of Operational and noise management plans are adhered to at all times
* To maintain housekeeping of defined equipment areas to appropriate gmp / 5s and best practice systems
Personal Specification:
* Previous experience using counterbalance forklift is essential and to hold a current/active FLT licence
* Previous experience working in the waste and recycling sector beneficial
* Good people skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a multi-skilled workforce and direct reports
* Computer Literate
* Good communication skills, written and oral
* Dynamic and tenacious approach
Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm (Tuesday 6am - 6:15pm)
