Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified, passionate, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA / LSA) with experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to start in September at an outstanding special school based in Birmingham.
The successful SEND TA / LSA should be able to support pupils with challenging behaviour, specific learning difficulties, or EHCPs. Under the guidance of staff, activities will be set by teachers, and you will support pupils in their progress and attainment.
Experience supporting some of the following conditions would be advantageous:
* ADHD
* Asperger Syndrome
* Autism (ASD)
* Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD, formerly EBD)
* Challenging Behaviour
* Dyslexia
* Epilepsy
* Global Development Delay (GDD)
* Hearing Impairment (HI)
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
* Non-Verbal Learning Difficulties (NLD)
* Speech and Language Disorder
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Visual Impairment (VI)
This is a temporary-permanent role, dependent on performance. The position is five days a week from 08:30 to 15:30.
