Senior Payroll Assistant – Glasgow (Hybrid) £30-35,000 Benefits Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours) Anderson Knight is proud to be working in partnership with a construction firm in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Assistant to join their dynamic Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team within a well-respected organisation. Working within a team of six and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of both weekly and monthly payrolls across five group companies. You’ll be a key player in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best practice in all payroll-related matters. Key Responsibilities: Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately via COINS payroll software, with manual processing capability when required. Gather, verify and input payroll-related data, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time. Submit RTI and pension contributions in line with statutory deadlines. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P11Ds and PSAs. Ensure compliance with current HMRC legislation and company policies. Liaise with internal departments, employees, and subcontractors to resolve payroll queries. Provide internal and external reporting as required. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity in all payroll activities. About You: Qualifications: CIPP Level 4/5 (or equivalent). Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation. Proficient in payroll software (COINS experience desirable). Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and ability to handle complex financial data. Experience in both manual and computerised payroll systems. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Highly organised, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to strict deadlines. Experience within the construction industry is advantageous.
