The Role As Groundworks Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects, supporting delivery teams from pre-construction through to final account. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to technically challenging schemes and the opportunity to progress within a growing commercial structure.
As Groundworks Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
* Commercial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects
* Cost control, forecasting and reporting
* Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
* Valuations, variations and change management
* Final accounts and commercial close-out
* Supporting project delivery teams with commercial strategy
* Maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships
* Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Groundworks Quantity Surveyor will have:
* Proven experience within groundworks, civils or infrastructure projects
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
* Experience managing subcontractor packages
* Ability to work across multiple projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Relevant construction or commercial qualifications (desirable, not essential)
