We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Brentwood to assist with the appointment of a Refuse Loader, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.33 - £15.94 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Collect waste and recycling from approx. 550 residential properties as part of a trial refuse collection scheme (one day per week).
* Litter picking and emptying public litter bins across Brentwood and Shenfield High Streets (four days per week).
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in assigned areas.
* Operate safely and efficiently in public spaces, following council procedures.
* Report any issues, hazards, or required follow-ups to the relevant supervisor.
* Adhere to scheduled working hours and routes.
Essential Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Good level of physical fitness (role involves manual handling and walking long distances)
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Punctuality and reliability
* Previous experience in waste management or cleansing services is desirable but not essential
