IT Technician – Lincoln

We’re looking for an IT Technician to join our internal IT function, providing vital 1st and 2nd line support across our network of offices. Based in our Lincoln office, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our colleagues across the firm have the technology support they need to deliver great service to clients.
Main Responsibilities
* Providing 1st and 2nd‑line support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
* Escalating to and working with senior members of the IT team to resolve more complex issues.
* Supporting a variety of software packages and operating systems.
* Basic understanding and troubleshooting of TCP/IP and general networking principles.
* Providing first‑class support services to users in‑person, over the phone and through email.
* Conducting stock checks regularly to ensure an adequate supply of hardware is available at all office locations.
* Rapidly learning about new systems.
* Visiting various offices.
Skills Required
* Experience with Office 365 administration.
* Good knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating systems (10 – 11).
* Basic knowledge of Windows Server Operating systems (2016 and onwards).
* Experience supporting hardware – Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Mobiles.
* Possession of a full UK driving license; occasional travel required.
Desirable Skills
* Experience using Asset Management / Helpdesk software (Lansweeper).
* Experience working for a Professional Services environment.
* Experience supporting the major Accountancy Software packages.
* Experience supporting cloud phone systems.
* Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Prior experience of end‑user IT support.
This role is office‑based, with options to work from home 1 day a week after your probation period. There will be occasional travel to our 30+ offices around the UK. Our hours are 8:30am – 5:15pm.
