An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Clinician to join our family of Care Homes. As a Lead Clinician, you will have responsibility for managing and leading your team effectively, with passion and commitment, to enhance the services we deliver. You should be a Registered Nurse possessing sound clinical knowledge and ideally, solid experience gained in a care home environment. You will support the Registered Manager to drive and maintain social care and nursing standards in line with Social Care Wales Code of Conduct and NMC Code. The post holder will also have exemplary leadership abilities and be willing to take ownership for the delivery of quality care.

About The Role

Responsibilities*:

* To have full knowledge of and to follow both Social Care Wales Code of Conduct and NMC Code and to be accountable for your professional practice

* To maintain and develop professional knowledge and maintain clinical skills to keep abreast of social and clinical developments in care

* To take a lead role in ensuring colleagues obtain and share specialist knowledge i.e. infection control, diabetes, wound care, pressure care, ANTT etc. and to take a lead role in the Home in at least one specialist area

* To ensure residents' Care Plan is reviewed monthly /as required and provide assistance/ advice as necessary

* To ensure that all Home policies and procedures are adhered to and work in conjunction with the Registered Manager, HR and Health & Safety Officers to amend where necessary

* To participate and contribute to the teaching requirements of the Home

Essential Requirements

* Adult Nursing Degree / Qualification

* 3 Years+ Leadership / Management experience

* Effective verbal, written, literacy and numeracy skills

* Proven record and passion for providing elderly, person centred care and positive outcomes

* Forward thinker with up to date knowledge on current practices and industry trends

* Positive, flexible attitude and a desire to make a difference

* An understanding of and adherence to Caron Group's ethos.

Desirable Requirements:

* QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Adults Residential Management) The post holder may be required to work towards this qualification once in employment

* Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g. PGCE/CertEd; DTLLS/CTLLS/ Level 5 Education and Training

* 3 Years+ experience within the Nursing Home sector
