The job itself
We currently have an opportunity to join the East area housing team as a Assistant Housing Management Officer. Do you like working with people? And enjoy a challenge? You will be joining a well-established supportive team, in a varied role, where no two days are the same.
This role is predominantly based in the County Hall offices in Beverley; however, the council has adopted blended working and as a team we are happy to work in the office and at home.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting housing management officers in their day to day roles, including the allocation of properties in line with the Council's allocation policy, general estate/tenancy management and the delivery of housing options advice.
The successful candidate will be expected to deal with all aspects of tenancy management including initial contact in relation to anti-social behaviour in properties owned and managed by the Council. This will include assessing vulnerability and offering general advice and guidance.
Good verbal and written skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure. Training will be given in all aspects of the role upon completion of which the post holder should be able demonstrate the ability to work well as part of a team and independently completing tasks in a timely manner.
