A Local Council EHC Team is seeking a Tutor to teach Maths & English to students unable to attend traditional education in East Yorkshire and online. The Tutor will work 1:1 with students facing emotional school refusal, medical needs, or other SEND areas. This long-term role aims to provide consistency and break down learning barriers. Sessions typically last two to six hours daily, during or after school hours, based on student needs.
About the school
Tuition sessions are arranged by local authorities, mainstream schools, or alternative provisions, often taking place off-site in community venues such as:
* Libraries
* Residential homes
* Schools
* The family home (with an appropriate adult present)
* Online
Requirements
Candidates should have:
* Experience working with students with EHCPs
* Ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions
* A passion for impacting young people's lives
