Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform heavy lifting while working at heights. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining roofs using various materials and techniques. The Roofer will be responsible for ensuring that all roofing projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
* Install, repair, and maintain roofs using materials such as shingles, metal, or tiles.
* Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with roofing work.
* Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
* Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
* Fabricate roofing components as needed for specific projects.
* Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
Experience
* Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred.
* Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety practices is essential.
* Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to roofing tasks.
* Experience in reading schematics and understanding construction plans is advantageous.
* Background in masonry or carpentry would be beneficial but not mandatory.
This position requires a dedicated individual who is willing to learn and grow within the trade while contributing to high-quality roofing projects.
