This includes helping him engage with learning tasks, manage transitions and build positive relationships with others. What the school can offer you as a Learning Support Assistant: Full-time, term-time role: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Excellent in-school training and ongoing support from SEN specialists A nurturing and inclusive ethos that values every child Ideal experience for future Educational Psychologists, Therapists, or SEND Teachers Learning Support Assistant – Person Specification: A Psychology, Education, or closely-related degree Strong emotional intelligence and confidence managing challenging moments Patient, adaptable and able to build trust and rapport Interest in Autism, behaviour and child development Previous experience with children or SEND (desirable but not essential) This Year 2 Learning Support Assistant (Autism Support) role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a child’s learning journey while gaining invaluable practical experience for your future career in Psychology or Education.
