Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading international services group in the appointment of a Tax & Reporting Manager to join its UK-based finance leadership team. This senior technical role offers broad exposure across UK and international tax, statutory reporting, and audit within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Reporting to a senior finance leader, the successful candidate will take ownership of tax compliance and statutory reporting obligations across several jurisdictions, including the UK and Ireland. The role will act as the key operational point of contact for tax and accounting matters, working closely with external advisers and auditors to ensure robust governance, accurate reporting, and timely delivery of all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage UK corporation tax compliance
* Oversee indirect taxes such as VAT, CIS, and RCT
* Maintain transfer pricing documentation
* Support the Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) regime, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and annual certification processes
* Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP
* Manage audit processes end-to-end
* Contribute to the development of an effective internal controls framework
* Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess potential impacts across the group, and provide practical, commercial guidance to finance and operational stakeholders
* Support internal audit activity and help evolve tax and accounting processes as the business grows and changes
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
* Strong experience in tax compliance within a group or multi-entity environment
* Confidence in managing adviser relationships
* Comfortable operating across competing deadlines
* Ability to combine technical expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
