Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Outreach (Primary & Secondary) Salary: Dependent on experience (in line with local pay scale) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a flexible and committed Outreach Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, across both primary and secondary phases. This role involves working with pupils in a variety of settings — including mainstream schools, homes and community venues — to help re-engage them in education and build the foundations for long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, individualised learning support to pupils outside of the classroom environment. Support the transition of pupils between settings or back into full-time education. Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour or be at risk of exclusion. Work in partnership with teachers, outreach coordinators, families, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support. Help implement personalised behaviour and learning plans in line with EHCPs and pastoral targets. Support with offsite learning, home visits, and re-engagement programmes, including transport and supervision as needed.
