Are you a passionate and dedicated registered veterinary nurse looking for a fantastic opportunity in a small and bustling clinic? Look no further! We're a growing vet clinic located in Balderton, Newark and we're looking for a new team member to join our close-knit group.
Your day-to-day
As a valuable member of our small team your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Nurse consults
• Admitting, and discharging patients
• Anaesthesia support
• Preparing patients for and recovering patients from surgery
• Inpatient care
• Pharmacy responsibilities
• Lab duties
• Maintaining a clean environment
• Client communications
• Collaborating closely within a small team to assist the vet, support student nurses, and provide excellent reception service.
• Maintain RCVS membership and keeping up with CPD.
Our nurses usually work 40 hours over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.30 – 19.00. However, we are in the fortunate position to be extremely flexible and able to offer part time, flexi time or a bespoke rota to offer a suitable work life balance. There are no out of hours requirements for this role and you will be a part of a weekend rota of 1 in 4 weekends Saturday from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm only.
Salary is up to £30,000 depending on experience.

About the Team and Culture
Companion Veterinary Clinic is located in the historic town of Newark we are a bustling first opinion small animal practice catering to a diverse caseload.
Our team consists of one Veterinary Surgeon, Head Nurse, two Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Student Veterinary Nurse, two Veterinary Care Assistants and a Practice Manager.
The practice provides care for Newark, the surrounding villages and local charities. We are a growing practice who are looking for the right candidate to join our dedicated and progressive team.
