Responsibilities
* Providing expert leadership and assurance for lifting operations across multiple live projects
* Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency
* Preparing and reviewing lift plans for a wide range of lifting operations
* Approving lift plans from internal teams and contract lift providers
* Ensuring compliance with the Murphy Lifting Operations Procedure
* Conducting technical reviews Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisors.
* Working closely with the SHES team to drive best practice and continual improvement
* Coordinating with Murphy Plant to secure suitable and compliant lifting equipment
* Ensure close links with Murphy plant to secure correct lifting equipment on our projects.
* Supporting constructability reviews and methodology planning from design through delivery
* Representing AMP8 at Group Fatal and Severe Risk (FSR) working group
* Driving standardisation and efficiency in lifting planning processes
Qualifications
* Minimum 7 years' experience operating as an Appointed Person within civil engineering or infrastructure environments.
* Hold a CPCS Appointed Person/Competent Operator qualification or equivalent.
* Experience within the water industry or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
* Strong technical knowledge of lifting operations, legislation, and risk management
* Able to communicate complex lifting methodologies, clearly, both verbally and in written form, to a range of stakeholders
* Collaborative and professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
* Competent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications.
