Description
* As a building surveyor, you will be focused on housing disrepair (Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 Section 11 repairs)
* Responsible for managing insurance claims
* Arranging of remedial repairs following loss, e.g. after a fire or flood
* Occasional support to the wider team with complex responsive repairs and resolution of complaints from tenants
* 65% desk based dealing with specifications and writing reports and 35% on site conducting surveys
Profile
A successful Interim Surveyor should have:
* Experience working in the social housing sector (housing maintenance contracts, pricing policies and arrangements)
* Knowledge and experience of the housing disrepair protocol
* Experienced in the preparation of reports, specifications, scott schedules and witness statements.
* Experience of Attending court in regards to housing disrepair claims
* Experience of the procurement of building maintenance works
* Have a recognised construction / surveying qualification (minimum HNC level)
