The Opportunity
A welcoming and well-respected primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join their team from February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that values high-quality teaching, inclusivity, and student development. The position is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for it to become a permanent role. The school is keen to arrange a trial shift this week for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 4.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and achievement.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupil learning.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance.
* Contribute to school life, including attending meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Education or a related field.
* Experience teaching in KS2, ideally within Year 4.
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
* Enthusiasm for professional development and collaborative working.
