We are looking to appoint a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (MSK) to work within our friendly and welcoming team at RAF Halton, Aylesbury. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist will provide comprehensive and professional physiotherapy and residential rehabilitation service for entitled personnel in accordance with Defence Medical Services Guidelines and Defence Rehabilitation Policy. The RRU Band 6 Physiotherapist provides clinical leadership and interventions for each residential course, working in conjunction with the wider leadership and clinical team to deliver an excellent service. The role upholds professional standards through enhanced MSK clinical delivery and continuous improvement in accordance with Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) guidelines and Civil Service core standards.
Job responsibilities
* Understand relevant policies, procedures and guidelines in place to ensure safety and quality practice and develop yourself and those you are responsible for where gaps exist.
* Actively participate in clinical professional development of self and colleagues, supervise and support less experienced staff including junior Musculoskeletal physiotherapists, ERIs and placement students.
* Deliver additional specialist outpatient interventions alongside course delivery as indicated, including Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT).
* Support the wider clinical team and develop service expertise by contributing to clinical triage, Multidisciplinary Injury Assessment Clinic (MIAC) activity and administrative tasks as indicated.
Required qualifications and memberships
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Physiotherapist
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP)
* Relevant clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders including sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions
* Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
Security and health requirements
All employees require a security check. Successful candidates must provide evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B (serological evidence is required). Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn.

Pay
£38,682 to £46,580 a year (Pro rata for part time) – pay award pending.
