The role
Job Description
As an Audit Manager specialising in Natural Resources, you will manage audit engagements for clients operating across sectors such as mining, oil & gas, renewables and energy.
You will oversee audit delivery, manage teams and act as a key point of contact for clients, while developing sector-specific expertise in complex accounting and reporting areas.
This role is suited to an experienced auditor with sector exposure, looking to progress toward Senior Manager and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Delivery & Management
- Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Review work prepared by team members and ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with Senior Managers and Directors on complex issues.
Sector Expertise – Natural Resources
- Develop expertise in industry-specific accounting issues (e.g. reserves, impairment, decommissioning).
- Apply knowledge of sector risks and regulatory requirements.
- Support clients in navigating complex reporting challenges.
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Act as primary day-to-day contact for client queries.
- Identify opportunities to add value to client engagements.
Team Leadership
- Manage, coach and develop audit team members.
- Support training and development of junior staff.
- Assist with resource planning and team allocation.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- ACA / ACCA qualified.
- Strong audit experience within practice.
- Experience managing audit engagements.
Desirable
- Experience with Natural Resources clients (energy, mining, etc.).
- Exposure to IFRS / UK GAAP in complex sectors.
- Listed or international client experience.

- Analytical with attention to detail.
- Interest in developing sector expertise.
