Program Lead - Europe, Climate Change Think Tank, UK
InfluenceMap is a globally recognized non-profit think tank driving change on climate and sustainability. We produce cutting-edge, objective research on how businesses and finance impact the climate crisis, working collaboratively across corporate, finance, public, civil society, and media sectors.
We are seeking a UK-based Program Lead to lead our Europe-focused research and amplify our impact across the region. In this role, you will connect directly with EU policymakers, industry leaders, civil society, and the media—helping shape the policies and strategies that will define the future of climate and nature in Europe.
InfluenceMap is best known for its LobbyMap platform, which analyzes corporate advocacy and policy engagement activities related to climate change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous climate campaigns.
The responsibilities of the position will cover some or all of the following:
* Research & Content Management - Oversee the research driving the LobbyMap platform's assessment of European corporate and industry association engagement with climate policy.
* External Engagement - Coordinate high-profile engagements with companies, investors, policymakers, and NGOs, supporting decision-makers to advance climate and nature policy in the region.
* Strategy & Impact Planning - Develop and drive the annual strategy for the Europe platform, ensuring alignment with our key partners and the evolving EU policy developments.
* Team Leadership & Development - Manage and support a talented group of analysts.
To be successful in this role at InfluenceMap, you should have:
* Proven people management experience - Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop team members.
* Ability to communicate complex issues and data-driven analysis convincingly.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken), other European language skills are beneficial.
* Proven outreach and engagement skills, ideally with a year or more of experience in successful stakeholder engagement.
* Robust understanding of EU policymaking institutions and processes.
* IT and software skills across a range of standard applications.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom.
