Premier Foods Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain Graduate Scheme 2025
This scheme involves placements at different locations across the UK, including travel throughout.
This is an 'Operations and Supply Chain' graduate scheme. Successful candidates will complete a corporate induction with the graduate cohort before starting a rotational plan, including two 9-month placements at a cake factory and a grocery factory, supporting respective teams in delivering KPIs.
Starting point - Corporate Induction, Head Office & a Manufacturing location (4 weeks):
* Gain an overview of our company structure, including commercial/finance and procurement functions, along with an introduction to our Brands and Values.
* Complete legal training and cover compliance around IT, HR, and people policies.
* Spend 2 weeks in one or two factories to understand manufacturing processes and how products are delivered to customers.
Placement one and two (9 Months each):
* Work within manufacturing/production teams to meet KPIs.
* Contribute to process improvements on manufacturing lines.
* Support Food Safety knowledge within Technical Teams.
* Assist Engineering teams at one of our 6 manufacturing locations.
* Lead small teams on shift, gaining management experience.
* Participate in 121s, Thrive Conversations, and Wellbeing discussions.
* Handle disciplinary actions, investigations, and absence reviews as needed.
* Model Premier Foods’ Values and Behaviours.
* Report on KPIs to improve OEE and meet production targets.
What we expect from you:
* Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or science-related discipline.
* Some industry work experience.
* Understanding of UK FMCG/retail sectors.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Ownership of learning and commitment to the role.
* Team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to travel extensively.
* Numeracy and accuracy.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
* Willingness to undertake professional qualifications with relevant bodies.
* UK driving licence.
